  • revising the knowledge about the use of can, could and be allowed to (students are suppose to say when do we use can could and be able to, and what are the differences between the use of them)

  • Introducing the use of have and must. Teacher explains what the difference is between can and must, when do we use it and how do we form the negative form.

Practice

35'

  • Students practice reading skill by doing the questionnaire titled “Are You strict or soft” (student's book, p.82, ex.1). After that exercise we compare the answers of the students

  • Teacher introduces the use of have and must. She tells students what the rules are of using them. Students learn how to use it by completing the table (student's book, p.83, ex.2). Class checks the answers altogether

  • Students read the rules about have and must, teacher explains them in Polish. Then they have to choose correct forms of the verbs in the sentence (student's book, ex.3, p. 83) Teacher checks the answers by asking a particular student.

  • Students practice the use of have and must by completing the sentences (workbook, p.60, ex.3) Teacher checks the answers by asking a particular student.

  • Students practice the use of have and must by choosing the right form of the verb in the text (workbook, p.61, ex.4) Class checks the answers altogether.
