Stairs move to the middle

Do you always take the lift? Why not take the stairs for a change?

It’s good exercise and stairs are a great place for new ideas and meeting people.

This is why the stairs are in the middle at Bain& Co.’s new headquarters in Boston.

All the other areas are next to the stairs, including the cafeteria, the mailroom, the reception desk, and conference rooms. The stairs are light and colourful with photographs and paintings on the walls. As one employee says, “I can relax on the stairs. It’s my favourite place for thinking.”
