NEW MINOR DATA PACKAGE VERSION 7.08 (MCU SW 4.03.38) 

 
New minor data package version 7.08 (MCU SW 4.03.38) has been released 
for RM-1. 
 
Note: Minor data package v 7.08 replaces old minor data package v 7.07, 
which caused some installation problems. 
 
Before installing minor data package, please install Phoenix Service 
Software version 2005.44.7.123 (or later) and major data package 7.0. 
 
Software downgrade is not allowed, due to BB5 security. In case older 
software is flashed, the phone does not boot up. USB flashing doesn’t 
work if phone cannot boot up. This can be fixed by flashing newer 
software or the same software that was previously used in the phone. 
This can be done only in level 3 service using phone specific adapter 
and prommer. 
 
Minor data package v7.08 includes following SW components: 

 

-  New variant images for MCU SW 4.03.38 (please see section Supported 

variants in minor data package 7.08) 

- Rm_1lbl.ini 
-  Default SW setting files (GPRS Modem settings, WAP bookmarks etc.) 
 
Size of the data package is 7.2 MB.
