1 Introduction
This Release Notice identifies the changes made with the release 2.0 version of the Alcatel-
Lucent TPS course and exam from the Alcatel-Lucent Service Routing Certification Program.
Course duration – 5 days (changed)
Exam duration – 90 minutes (unchanged)
Exam questions – 60 (unchanged)
2 Summary of Course Changes
• Removed IP TV architecture and components
• Removed specific information on the DSLAM components
• Introduced PPPoE
• Added details on Routed CO and examples of deployment using Routed CO
• Added details on Multicast CAC
• Added TPS redundancy components such as MC-Lag, MC-Ring, and SRRP
• Enhanced coverage on ESM with some added deployment examples
• Introduced the concept of a Managed SAP
