What/Where/Why Question Track

AIMS

This track

MATERIALS REQUIRED

The track (either enlarged to A3 for group use or an A4 track for each player)
There are two versions of the track - one in black and white for photocopying and the other in colour for printing out

PREPARATION

Tell a story to your pupils/students - this could be fiction or could be a true story, for example, a story from history.

PLAYING THE GAME

This is an activity for two to four players.
Players take it in turn to throw a dice and move their counters round the track.
After each move the players make up a question about the story starting with the word in the square they have landed on.
The next person must answer the question before they can throw the dice.
PENALTY - If a player cannot ask an appropriate question s/he must move BACK the number of squares shown on the next throw of the dice.
