Chris glanced absent-mindedly at the window of the opposite house. One moment earlier he told himself that he had to hurry up. He should not be late for work. But what he saw at the opposite window terrified him. A blonde-haired, young woman was screaming very loudly. She was hiding her face in her hands, crying louder and louder. Chris heard what she was screaming - it was: “Oh, no!” It seemed as if someone was murdering her but Chris could not see anybody else in that room. His first thought was: “I must do something!” Although he knew that he would be late for work, he decided to help this woman. He ran out of his house as fast as he could. He got to the door of the woman's flat and tried to open it. It was locked. The woman was crying and screaming even louder than earlier. Chris made a quick decision - he forced the door. And then he saw the shocked face of the woman. She had just stopped crying and asked him angrily: “What are you doing here, sir?” There was not anybody else in this flat - only her and Chris. “I thought somebody was murdering you. I wanted to help you.” - he answered and felt very ashamed. She started to laugh and told him: “I was just rehearsing for my new film. I'm an actress.”
Then his mobile rang. It was his boss. “It is not the first time you have been late for work! You're fired!”
