Drogi Panie Tusk,
Proszę dołączyć do Austrii i innych krajów, które odmówiły pozostania krajem pozwalającym na rozprowadzanie genetycznie modyfikowanej żywności. Nikt nie potrzebuje tej technologii. To tylko dojna krowa (z poparciem Światowych Organizacji Handlu) dla Monsanto, Syngenty, Bayer itd.
Wystarczy zobaczyć na rolników z Indii, żeby zobaczyć co się może wydarzyć. Europa różni się od USA. Dlatego proszę wspomóc rolnictwo naturalne zamiast wprowadzać szkodliwą genetycznie modyfikowaną żywność do Waszego pięknego kraju. Nawet pan Obama zadeklarował większe wsparcie dla proekologicznego rolnictwa.
Natura i obywatele podziękują Panu i to nie tylko w Polsce!

Bardzo niepokoimy się tym, że dwóch rolników Edyta Jaroszewska i Danuta Pilarska zaczęło głodówkę przeciwko genetycznie modyfikowanej żywności wprowadzanej w Polsce i że Pański rząd jeszcze nie zapewnił im ich prawa do Polski wolnej od GMO. Apelujemy aby Pan wzmocnił
zakaz upraw wszystkich GM roślin i natychmiast wprowadził zakaz na MON 810 oraz pilnie wprowadził oznakowania zmodyfikowanej żywności i za pewien czas wycofał ją ze sklepów, a także aby Pan wprowadził zakaz używania genetycznie modyfikowanej żywności w paszy dla zwierząt.
Należy promować wytwarzanie żywności tradycyjnymi metodami i gospodarstwa ekologiczne jako jedyną pożądaną drogę dla rolnictwa na tej planecie.

Piszę z Albanii w imieniu wielu rolników ekologicznych w moim kraju. Proszę wziąć pod uwagę żądania polskich rolniczek, które protestują prowadząc strajk głodowy. Robią to nie dla siebie, nie tylko dla swoich rodzin czy innych farmerów ekologicznych, oraz przyszłości polskich dzieci. Ale dla każdego z nas, każdego obywatela tej planety. Genetycznie modyfikowana żywność to nie jest przyszłość. Nie jest to także droga do stawienia czoła kryzysowi. To po prostu spowoduje kryzys w przyszłości. Zaufajmy ekologom, oni są bliżej natury. 2. marca 2009 w głosowaniu krajów członkowskich UE 345 głosów poparło Austrię i Węgry aby mogły one utrzymać zakazy na genetycznie zmodyfikowaną kukurydzę. (Tylko 282 głosów było za zmuszeniem Austrii i Węgier do odwołania zakazów.) Oznacza to, że nie ma powodu aby Polska nie mogła pozostać wolna od GMO. Przypominam Panu również, że około 80% europejskich konsumentów jest przeciw GMO. To nie jest demokratyczne aby na siłę wpychać nam te produkty z powodu nacisku i fałszywych informacji kilku wielkich korporacji. To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my dismay at the lack of will power in the Polish government to stop corporations undertaking dangerous experiments with our agriculture for the sake of profit and co0ntrol of the food industry. I say "our" as a European citizen because you are allowing for wider-spread effects to occur.
You have already received the arguments against GM foods and planting, therefore I don't wish to go into the details here. What I ask ist this:
For what do you want to be remembered by others in your life - somebody who acted for the interests of humanity in general or simply as someone in the pockets of a few greedy corporations?
You have the chance to wield power for the common good, although it may seem the harder option it has been shown that with determination much can be achieved and you win respect!
Public opinion throughout Europe shows the majority to be against GM foods - therefore you would be acting undemocratically and undermining any democracy we have left if you choose to support the GM lobby.
I ask you to sincerely consider this question.
Please also consider and act accordingly as a democratic and noble politician the following requirements that I believe should be taken in this context:
1. To reinforce the BAN of all GM plants and - and as a fast-track - ban the maize MON 810.
2. To introduce labelling of all GM foods and gradually withdraw these foods

The great country that is Poland, that survived Hitler's' fascism instigated the fall of the Berlin wall begat Solidarity etc..Is now prepared to capitulate to the bio-tec industry. Monsanto(remember agent orange)- Syngenta - Du-pont - Bayer et al, these are the companies that you are prepared to allow to take total control of your agricultural and eventually all of your food system.
Edyta and Danuta are two very brave people, I'm sure they have not embarked on their hunger strike easily in fact probably seeing it as a last resort, please Prime Minister intervene for the sake of these two polish citizens and instruct your Ministry of Agriculture as follows:
Reinforce the ban of all GM plants and especially Monsanto's Mon 10 Maize Introduce labelling of all GM foods and work towards their withdrawal from the Polish market Introduce a total ban on GM animal feed
Use social & public funds to support both traditional and organic farming
Please Prime Minister Tusk do not bow to the tyranny of the bio-tec companies, furthermore by enforcing the four requests above you will ensure that Edyta and Danuta come to no harm.

Re: Dangers of GM crops and foods
It was with great distress that I heard that farmers in Poland (Edyta Jaroszewska and Danute Pilarska) have had to resort to embarking on a fast in order to attract attention to the folly and the dangers that are genetically modified (GM) crops and foods.
As a molecular geneticist who routinely uses GM technology in his research programme, I can reassure you that there is every scientific justification to oppose the development and introduction of GM crops. GM technology as applied to crops is a crude and imprecise technology with inherent unpredictable outcomes, which current regulatory systems anywhere in the world including within the European Union do not fully comprehend or assess in their approval process.
There is now a large (and increasing) body of on-the-ground experience and peer reviewed scientific studies that clearly document poor performance, environmental damage and damaging health effects of GM crops and foods. (This is summarised in the attached referenced document on which I was extensively consulted and can therefore vouch for its technical accuracy.) Damage from GM crops and foods is inevitable and as an expert in the field I strongly urge the Polish government not to circum to external pressures and retain the GM crop-free status of your country for the benefit of your environment and its people.

Please join Austria and other countries in refusing to become/stay a biogem-free country! Nobody needs this "technique", it's only a cash-cow (under WTO-force) for Monsanto, Syngenty, Bayer a.o.
We just have to look to Indian farmers to see what can/will happen!
Europe is different to the USA, please therefore support bio-agriculture and -cattle raising instead of introducing harmful biogems into your beautiful country. Even Mr. Obama has already declared to give more support to environmental agricultural techniques!
