needle:  size 10 or 12 

 

 

 

 

 

N&T = needle & thread 

seed beads, size 11, white and blue  
6 

red 

star-shaped 

beads 

     

2 ear posts 
glue 
 

1.  Using a single, unknotted strand of thread 

and leaving a 6-inch tail, string 5 beads.  
Pass the N&T through the first bead to form 
a circle. 

2.  Place one bead between each of the five 

beads. 

3.  Weave to the loose tail and tie a knot. 
4.  Pass the N&T through a point bead. 
5.  String 3 beads and pass through the next 

point.  Repeat until 5 points have been 
made. 

6.  Weave to a point bead.  String 10 blue 

beads, 1 star, and 1 white bead.  Pass the 
N&T through the star, 10 blue beads and 
point bead.   

7.  Weave to the next point and repeat step #6 

two more times. 

8.  Sew a bead in the center, if desired.  Tie off 

loose thread tails. 

9.  Glue stars to ear posts.
