Psychic Forces

TRICK EFFECT & ROUTINE: The magician is able to reveal eight cards from a deck shuffled by

several people, from any where in the room without touching the cards.

PREPARATION: A "slick" or "short" card and eight (or as many as you want) cards under that

on the bottom of the deck that you have committed to memory.

METHOD: Break the deck into as many sections as you have spectators and give the "utility"

card to the second to last spectator and your "known" packet to the last guy. Have everyone

make complete cuts as many as they would like. To "assist in the shuffling and fairness of the
trick." Now, have the first person dealt, reassemble the deck starting with his pile and placing

each other persons on top of his. Now the chosen "8" are on top! Have him count off eight (or

force the number 8) cards and hold them in a fan so that he can see all of them. Now, reveal the

cards and have him place each one on the table as you count them off.

Effect: Two cards are linked together.

Setup: Three cards, double lift and make it look like two. The cards in your hand go two face up
and then one face down card. You just tell the spectator that the two cards are back to back. –

Take them all up in the hand and bend them in half widthwise and tear out a giant oval in the

center of all three of them. Remove the top face up card and hand it to the spectator to examine.

A solid card with a whole in the middle. As they look at this take the next top card and fold it

over in half, this will now look like the back of a playing card. Hold your left thumb over the left
fold and take back the spectator’s card and now slide it under the right fold and allow it to fall on

and link. Bring the face up card over far enough so that it’s ‘body’ covers the fold you are not

holding on to, this not only covers your secret, but it pushes the believability of the link, by

allowing you to hold it with one hand. Cleanup: Pull the face up card free and hand it to the

spectator. Hold the ‘two card set” so that half the card is concealed be hind your hand. Put your

right finger into the loop and pull up, this will pull the other card free and leave the folded card in
your finger palm , which you can now scrunch up and pocket while they are examining the

second card.
