Engine firmware is upgraded to correct the failure as follows.

1. Paper jam is corrected that occurs in case paper feed from the duplex unit delays, calibration is requested

during retrial of the paper feed in continuous duplex printing and the next paper enters the duplex unit.

2.Paper jam is corrected that may rarely occur in case toner replacement is requested when paper is feed from

the bottom of the full set of paper feeders in continuous duplex printing of letter size.

Conventionally, the fuser pressure setting with the envelope switch was set to the envelope mode (right side) at
factory.
This is to avoid deformation of the fuser roller after prolonged storage with less fuser pressure applied to the
roller. Accordingly, if normal paper is used, the envelope switch had to be manually switched to the normal
mode (left side).

Since it was confirmed that the fuser pressure with normal mode would not deform the fuser roller, the printer is
now shipped with the envelope switch set to the normal mode (left side).

With the firmware revision below, a similar functionality is available now.

For this purpose the following two settings in the printer menu should be applied accordingly:

In "Print Settings" the "MP tray" has to be defined as default tray.

In "Device Common" the "Error Handling" for "MP Tray Empty" has to be set to "Off"

All print jobs without a dedicated paper source command now will be drawn from the MT tray as long as paper
is set.
