Patient position: supine with elbow extended 
and shoulder in 90 degrees flexion, slight 
medial rotation, and slightly horizontally 
adducted toward the sternal end of the 
clavicle. Stabilize the opposite anterior 
shoulder. 
 
Examiner pressure: against the forearm in 
the direction of horizontal abduction
