When Monitored: 

With the ignition on. 

Vehicle speed greater than 6 mph (9.6 km/h). 

Set Condition: 

The Blind Spot Module detects the Blind Spot Sensor circuit voltage below threshold. 

Diagnostic Test 

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC 

1. Turn the ignition on.  

2. With the scan tool, read BSM DTCs. 

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

Yes  

Go to Step 2.  

No  

The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent 
condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially 
broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, 
corroded, or contaminated terminals.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
 .  

2. (F921) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN) CIRCUIT

Possible Causes 

(F921) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN) CIRCUIT
LEFT REAR BLIND SPOT SENSOR

NOTE:

Diagnose and repair any vehicle charging system failures before 
proceeding with this diagnostic procedure.

1. Turn the ignition off.  

2. Disconnect the Left Rear Blind Spot Sensor harness connector.  

3. Turn the ignition on.  

4. Using a volt meter, measure the voltage of the (F921) Fused Ignition Switch Output (RUN) circuit. 

Is the voltage above 10.0 volts? 

Yes  

Replace the Left Rear Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service Information.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
 .  

No

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

Yes  

Install a new Left Rear Blind Spot Sensor with proper software version to match the BSM.

Diagnostic Test 

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC 

1. Turn the ignition on.  

2. With the scan tool, read BSM DTCs. 

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

Yes  

Replace the Left Rear Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service Information.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
 .  

No  

The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent 
condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially 
broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, 
corroded, or contaminated terminals.

1. Turn the ignition off.  

2. Disconnect the Right Rear Blind Spot Sensor harness connector.  

3. Turn the ignition on.  

4. Using a volt meter, measure the voltage of the (F921) Fused Ignition Switch Output (RUN) circuit. 

Is the voltage above 10.0 volts? 

Yes  

Replace the Right Rear Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service Information.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure

Continuously when the ignition is on.

Battery voltage between 10 and 16 volts. 

IOD fuse installed. 

Set Condition: 

The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) detects a short to ground on the CAN Interior Bus (125K) 
(+) circuit or a short to voltage on the CAN Interior Bus (125K) (-) circuit. 

Diagnostic Test 

1. VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE 

1. Turn the ignition on.  

2. With the scan tool, read active Blind Spot Module DTCs. 

Is this DTC active? 

Yes  

Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - 
Diagnosis and Testing 
and perform the U0010-CAN Interior Bus diagnostic procedure.  

No  

Refer to Non-DTC Diagnostics/Communication - Diagnosis and Testing and perform the 
Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure.  

U0141-00-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH IPM (FCM/TIPM) 

Possible Causes 

(D265) CAN INTERIOR BUS (125K) (+) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
(D264) CAN INTERIOR BUS (125K) (-) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
ANY CAN INTERIOR BUS MODULE
TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM)

NOTE:

Make sure the IOD fuse is installed and the battery is fully charged before 
proceeding.

When Monitored: 

With the ignition on. 

Vehicle speed greater than 6 mph (9.6 km/h). 

Set Condition: 

Blind Spot Module (BSM) does not receive messages from the Left Rear Blind Spot Sensor. 

Diagnostic Test 

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC 

1. Turn the ignition on.  

2. With the scan tool, read BSM DTCs. 

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

Yes  

Go to Step 2.  

No  

The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent 
condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially 
broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, 
corroded, or contaminated terminals.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
 .  

2. CHECK THE VOLTAGE OF THE (D764) AND (D765) BLIND SPOT SENSOR DATA LINK 

CIRCUITS 

Possible Causes 

(F921) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN) CIRCUIT OPEN
(Z907) GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
(D764) BLIND SPOT SENSOR DATA LINK LOW CIRCUIT OPEN
(D765) BLIND SPOT SENSOR DATA LINK HIGH CIRCUIT OPEN
LEFT REAR BLIND SPOT SENSOR

Blind Spot Module (BSM) does not receive messages from the Left Rear Blind Spot Sensor. 

Diagnostic Test 

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC 

1. Turn the ignition on.  

2. With the scan tool, read BSM DTCs. 

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

Yes  

Go to Step 2.  

No  

The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent 
condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially 
broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, 
corroded, or contaminated terminals.

1. Turn the ignition off.  

2. Disconnect the Right Rear Blind Spot Sensor harness connector.  

3. Turn the ignition on.  

4. Using a volt meter, measure the voltage across the (D764) and (D765) circuits at the Right Rear 

Blind Spot Sensor harness connector. 

Is Bus voltage present?

Is the resistance below 100 Ohms?

Yes  

Replace the Right Rear Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service Information.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
 .  

No  

Repair the (Z907) Ground circuit for an open.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
 .  

5. CHECK THE (D764) AND (D765) BLIND SPOT SENSOR DATA LINK CIRCUITS FOR AN 

OPEN

1. Turn the ignition off.  

2. Disconnect the BSM harness connector.  

3. Using an ohm meter, measure the resistance of the (D764) and (D765) circuits. 

Is the resistance above 5.0 Ohms? 

Yes  

Repair the appropriate circuit for an open.

U1438-00-ABS MODULE-IMPLAUSIBLE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION RECEIVED

SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS for Grand Caravan.  

When Monitored: 

With the ignition on. 

Vehicle speed greater than 6 mph (9.6 km/h). 

Set Condition: 

Implausible data received from the ABS Module. 

Diagnostic Test 

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC 

1. Turn the ignition on.  

2. With the scan tool, read BSM DTCs. 

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

Yes  

Replace the ABS Module in accordance with the Service Information.  

Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Antilock Brake (ABS) - Standard Procedure 

Possible Causes 

ABS MODULE

NOTE:

Diagnose any ABS Module DTCs before proceeding with the test.

condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially 
broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, 
corroded, or contaminated terminals.  

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, 
Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure
