Read about Kim’s Saturday. Then fill in the chart.

After breakfast on Saturday, Kim likes to spend the morning in the

garden. She takes care of the lawn and the garden. In the afternoon, she
works in the house. She does all her jobs in the afternoon and looks after
the dog. Then, by the evening, Kim is ready to relax. That’s when she
spends her free time resting and playing.

Procedure

Ask pupils what kind of things they like doing at the weekend. Ask if they have any specific jobs they have to do at 
the weekend (e.g. tidying their bedroom) as well as leisure activities. Elicit as many activities as possible in English.

Distribute the worksheets and read the paragraph about Kim’s Saturday with the class. Explain that the paragraph 
describes the kinds of activities that Kim does in the morning, afternoon or evening.

Read the list of activities with the class. Ask them to decide which activities Kim would do in the morning,
afternoon or evening and write them on the chart in the correct place.
