The Rules

Objective:

The objective is to gather as many families as possible. This
game allows the students to say if they often do this or that.

How to play the Game:

1. Make groups of 4-5 players and give a set of cards for each
group, as well as a brief summary of the 7 families.

2. One of the players is the dealer. He/she shuffles the cards
and deals them out to the other players.

3. The dealer starts the game by choosing a player and asking
him/her a question (ex: ‘Do you often watch the news?
’’).

•  If the player does not have the card, he/she answers ‘No, I

don’t.’ (short answer) or ‘No, I never watch the news.’
(long answer). Then, it is the player sitting on the dealer’s
left who chooses someone and asks him/her a question.

•  If the player does have the card, he/she answers ‘Yes, I

do.’ (short answer) or ‘Yes, I often / always watch the
news
’. (long answer) Then, the dealer can continue to ask
questions. He / She can ask the same player or choose
another one.

4.

The game continues until all the families have been

gathered. The winner is the player who has gathered the most
families.
