VW Passat B5.5 Service Light Reset Procedure 
 

1. 

With ignition switched 

OFF

, press & hold down Trip-Meter 

(Odometer) reset button. 

 

2. 

While holding down reset button, switch ignition 

ON

. 

 

3. 

Release reset button, & twist clock adjust button to the 
right (minutes adjust) position. 

 

4. 

Hold in this position until ‘SERVICE NOW’ disappears from 

the display. (--- should now appear instead) 

 

5. 

Repeat procedure if first attempt is unsuccessful. 

 

SWITCH OFF IGNITION – PROCEEDURE COMPLETE !
