Użycie czasu Present Perfect Continuous:

Czas używany jest w sytuacjach, gdy podkreślamy:

- czas trwania lub ciągłość pewnej czynności:

They have been working in this office since May.

- że pewna trwająca w niedawnej przeszłości czynność jest związana w jakiś sposób z obecną sytuacją; czynność nie musi być ukończona:

She is crying, she has been peeling the onions.

Tworzenie czasu Present Perfect Continuous:

Present Perfect Continuous tworzy się w następujący sposób:

osoba (I/you/she/we/they) + have/has been + czasownik z końcówką -ing

She has been driving a car since she was eighteen.

They have been working so hard, so they are going to relax.

Sue has been watching TV all day.

Tworzenie pytań i form przeczących:

Pytania tworzymy w następujący sposób:

How long has she been learning Dutch?

By stworzyć przeczenie dodajemy tylko "not" do operatora:
