Marco Polo

Marco Polo was born 15th September 1254 in Venice. He was the son of Nicollo Polo.
In 1271 he and his father travelled to Holy Land, Persia and finally to China. Here he was a envoy of the Kublai Khan. Polo was in China to 1292.
Marco visited Siam, Japan, Ceylon, Tibet, India and Burma too. Information about this lands derived from Marco Polo was the only information about the Europe.
In 1298 Marco was the captain of the Venice fleet and he was been taken to captivity. He was realised in 1299 and arrived with father to Venice.
Marco Polo died in 1324.
