The `When do you wear…?' Question Track

TEACHERS NOTES

AIMS

This track practises:

1. the use of the question `When do you wear XXX?'

2. adverbials such as

1. every day, never, in the evening

2. when I'm swimming, when it's cold, when I'm going to a party

MATERIALS REQUIRED

• the track (either enlarged to A3 for group use or an A4 track for each player)

• a dice and some counters

PLAYING THE GAME

• This is an activity for two to four players.

• Players take it in turn to throw a dice and move their counters round the track.

• After each move the players ask the question in the square they have landed on.

• The next person must answer the question before they can throw the dice.

• The first person to complete the track is the winner.

Start	When do you wear a coat?	When do you wear sunglasses?
When do you wear…? Track		When do you wear trousers?
				When do you wear sandals?
When do you wear a swimming costume?	When do you wear gloves?	When do you wear a hat?
When do you wear high heels?	Rules Throw a dice and move your counter. Ask the next player the question in the square you land on. If they can answer it they can throw the dice and move their counter. Answers, e.g.: never, in the evening, every day when it's cold, when I go swimming, when I play football, ….
When do you wear a scarf?
When do you wear trainers?	When do you wear a jumper?	When do you wear a tie?
		When do you wear a dress?
		When do you wear jeans?
Finish	When do you wear pyjamas?	When do you wear a ring?
