  • Can you XXX?

  • Yes I can, but I can't XXX.

  • No I can't, but I can XXX.

USING THE ACTIVITY

This activity can be used at two different levels:

  1. The learners merely answer Yes I can/No I can't.

  2. The learners answer with a `but' sentence, for example:
    Can you swim?

Can you play the piano?

Can you write Chinese?

Can you skate?

Can you skip?

Can you do a handstand?

Can you juggle?

Throw a dice. Move your counter. Ask the next person the question in the square you have landed on.

They must answer with a `but', for example Can you swim?

  • No I can't but I can whistle. OR

  • Yes I can, but I can't skate.

If they can answer the question they can throw the dice.

Can you ride a horse?

Can you speak French?

Can you whistle?

Can you drive a car?

Can you cook?
