DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE (TECHNIQUE / SKILL)

This session is designed to review the technique of shooting and develop into a skill practice.

Use screening and turning key factors in this practice

ORGANISATION:

In the 2v2 game the setter chooses to set up the passer or control and turn the defender to shoot on the goalkeeper. The non-shooter must follow up for all rebounds.

The setter chooses to set or keep and shoot themselves - other striker gets the rebound

KEY FACTORS: Players must concentrate on

Accuracy over Power Low rather than high shots Across the goalkeeper - far post not near post Can you be clever - Deception Rebounds

NOTES

These sessions should be dynamic but controlled, lots of practice but focus on quality with each shot. Quick combinations and clever play is encouraged - can they turn / dribble /create space All plays must concentrate on turning chances into goals.
