Little Yoda Baby Blanket

Yarn in off white/crème, dark green and dark brown
2,5 mm hook
Black left over yarn or embroider yarn
Embroider needle

The entire pattern is written in US terminology.
The head and the arms are based on the pattern from Brittmarie Rosendahl and can be found here:

For clarity of this pattern, I will quote the needed parts here and add the colour changes needed for
yoda.
Head
(in dark green)
Round 1: ch 2 , 6 sc in 1
st
chain(or make a magic circle with 6 sc) = 6 sc
Round 2: 2 sc in 1 sc, around = 12 sc
Round 3: *1 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc*, repeat around= 18 sc
Round 4: *2 sc , 2 sc in 1 sc*, repeat around = 24 sc
Round 5: *3 sc, 2 sc in 1 sc*, repeat around = 30 sc
Round 6: *4 sc , 2 sc in 1 sc*, repeat around = 36 sc
Round 7: *5 sc , 2 sc in 1 sc*, repeat around = 42 sc
Round 8-12: 42 sc
Round 13: *5 sc , 2 tog*, repeat around = 36 sc
Round 14: *4 sc , 2 tog*, repeat around = 30 sc
Round 15: *3 sc , 2 tog*, repeat around = 24 sc
Round 16: *2 sc , 2 tog*, repeat around = 18 sc
Round 17: *1 sc , 2 tog*, repeat around = 12 sc, fill the head
Round 18: 2 tog, around = 6 sc
FO and leave a long tail for sewing.
Arms
Start in dark green
Round 1: ch 2 , 6 sc in 1st chain(or make a magic circle with 6 sc) = 6 sc
Round 2: 2 sc in 1 sc, around = 12 sc
Round 3-4: 12 sc, change to dark brown in the last sc of row 4
Round 5: *2 sc , 2 tog*, repeat around = 9 sc
Round 6-9: 9 sc
Crochet twice to close the arms, do not fill
Ears
x 2 (in dark green)
Chain 10, turn
1 sc in the second chain from the hook, 2 hdc, 3 dc, 2 trc, 1 dc, do not turn!
Chain 2, continue on the other side, 7 sc, 7 sl st, 4 sc, 1 sl st
Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Check it out! It is written by Rona Malewit, and it is very clear! Check out her patterns on Ravelry as
well. To keep it clear, I will quote her pattern and add the colour changes needed for the yoda
blanket.
Round 1 in dark brown: Into a Magic Ring, ch 4, (3 dc, ch 2) three times, 2 dc, sl st in 3rd ch of ch 4 to
close the first round. Make sure you change to off white/crème in the last st.
(If you don't know to work a Magic Ring or are afraid to try one, ch 4, sl st to first ch to make a ring,
then continue from ch 4 above, working the stitches into the center of the ring, like any other granny
square)
Round 2: Sl st into the same ch2 space, ch 4, 2 dc in ch 2 space, (dc in each dc across, 2 dc in next ch 2
space, ch 2, 2 dc in same ch 2 space), repeat around the square but change to dark brown for three
dc’s in the center of your work to create the line down and then change back to off white/creme,
ending with 1 dc in ch 2 space [over the sl st in the row below], sl st to top of ch 4
Round 3 and on: Repeat Round 2 and keep the dark brown line going down.
For round 7 change to dark brown and make one entire row in brown before changing back to off
white/crème. After that keep the brown line downwards going.
After round 12, chain 1, crochet around in single crochets, putting 3 sc in each corner. End with a sl st
in the first sc and fasten off.
Finishing touch
Line up the ears and arms in one line and make sure the ears are slightly above the center of the
head like on the pictures below and sew them on.
Sew the head to the blanket, with the face in line with the brown line like below.
Embroid the eyes and mouth the way you want them with black.
Sew in all ends.
