Tape Specification     

KT Method

 

Patient position: seated with the neck 
laterally flexed away from the affected 
side.  

Apply the base of the tape to the 
superior border of the thyroid cartilage 
with no tension. 

 

With the neck in lateral flexion, slightly 
extend the neck and pull the central 
portion of the tape with paper-off to 
very light (10-15%) available tension 
and apply the other end to the border 
of the mandible.  

Apply the end of the Kinesio Tex with 
no tension.
