Martijn Boogaarts: 
 
The name is Black – Alpha Black. After watching this great movie about a 
famous secret agent, I, Martijn Boogaarts (36) from the Netherlands had to 
build this Alpha-Rex wearing a black tie (tuxedo). 
  
As part of the MCP (Mindstorms Community Partners) and former MUP 
(MINDSTORMS User Panel) I received a black NXT, to test and play with 
from LEGO.  
I just followed the instructions for building Alpha Rex from LEGO 
MINDSTORMS NXT #8527 and exchanged the white, and dark grey parts for 
black ones. The various black Technic parts were collected from Technic 
models, like the tow truck “King of the Road #8285”. The white tooth from a 
Creator set, were perfect for the bowtie. It is a real cool looking model and the 
black NXT fits just perfect!
