PATTERN
Print out the pattern, included. Trace the pattern onto pattern paper and cut out.

CUT
Place the pattern pieces on the organza, linen and lining. Cut out.
On the organza, lace and the light green fabric, draw three fl owers with your
Pictogram Pen. Cut them out. Each fl ower has three layers.

'' (12 cm) of the woven rib ribbon.
Seam allowance

SEW
Embellish the hand bag. Thread your Husqvarna Viking Sewing machine with
embroidery thread on top and bobbin thread in the bobbin. Select straight
stitch. Place the front organza piece on top of the front linen piece and sew by
free hand stitching or mark patterns with your pictogram pen lines for different
stitches. Start stitching straight stitch and follow using different stitches and
threads in different colors. Repeat with the back piece. Pin all three layers of
the fl ower applications on the front piece. Stitch in place with some straight
stitches through all three layers. Sew a bead by hand in the middle of each
fl ower.
Sew the front and back piece together. Place the embellished front and back
piece right sides together. Stitch side seams and lower edge. Trim seam
allowance at corners and press seams open.
Sew the lining. Place front and back piece right sides together. Stitch side
seams and lower edge. Leave a 4'' (10 cm) opening to turn. Trim seam
allowance at corners and press seams open.
Sew fabric bag and lining bag together. Place fabric bag and lining bag right
sides together. Sew the upper edge. Trim seam allowance and clip curves.
Turn right side out through the opening in the lining and turn the lining to
inside of the bag. Press the upper edge. Illustration A.
Sew the casing for the handle. Place the green velvet ribbon,

wide, centered on top of the woven grosgrain ribbon. Snap on the Edge
Stitching Foot and stitch in place near the edges.
Turn under the short edges of the woven grosgrain ribbon and press. Pin the
ribbon along the upper edge of the wrong side of the hand bag,. Stitch the
lower long side of the ribbon in place. Illustration B.
Pin the long side of the green velvet ribbon,

'' (10 mm) wide, along the
upper edge of the right side of the hand bag. Place the handle between the
front piece and the woven rib ribbon. Snap on the Narrow Zipper Foot. From
the right side stitch together, wrong sides facing, near the velvet ribbon edges.
Repeat with the back piece/handle. Illustration C.
Embellish with a row of beads, sewn by hand, at the seam right side just
below the handle. Illustration D.
Embellish one of the handle with some velvet ribbons, silk ribbons and lace.
