Origin  

Humeral head: 
Common flexor tendon from medial 
epicondyle of the humerus and deep 
antebrachial fascia 
Ulnar head: 
Aponeurosis of the medial margin of 
olecranon, proximal 2/3 posterior border of 
ulna, deep antebrachial fascia 

Insertion  

Pisiform, hamate, and base of 5th 
metacarpal 

Actions  

Wrist flexion and adduction (ulnar 
deviation), may assist in elbow flexion 

Nerve  

Ulnar nerve
