Tape Specification     

KT Method

 

Patient position: seated, with upper 
body and head in neutral postural 
alignment, head in neutral  

Apply the base of the tape over the 
temporomandibular joint.  

Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex 
and apply downward pressure to 
increase tissue tension.  

Apply the tape toward the lateral 
orbital rim and the lateral border of 
the eyebrow. 

 

Apply the base of the tape over the 
temporomandibular joint.  

Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex 
and apply downward pressure to 
increase tissue tension.  

Apply the tape below the zygomatic 
arch to follow the zygomatic division 
of the facial nerve.  

As shown, apply the tape toward the 
lateral corner of the mouth to follow 
the buccal and mandibular branches 
of the facial nerve
