Origin  

Lateral condyle of the tibia, fibular head, 
proximal 2/3 of lateral surface of the fibula, 
intermuscular septa, and adjacent deep 
fascia 

Insertion  

Lateral side of the base of the 1st 
metatarsal and medial (1st) cuneiform 
bone 

Actions  

Everts foot, assists in plantar flexion of the 
ankle joint, depresses head of the 1st 
metatarsal 

Nerve  

Superficial peroneal nerve
