Confirmation Testing
With the wrist and thumb in neutral,
apply the base of the Kinesio Tex
over the navicular bone (radial aspect
of the base of the thenar eminence).
Extend and abduct the thumb away
from the palm.
Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.
Apply the lateral “y” tail to the lateral
side of the base of the extended
proximal phalanx of the thumb.
Apply the medial “y” tail to the medial
side of the base of the extended
proximal phalanx of the thumb.
