SUBJECT:  Drive Axle Mounting Brackets

The original drive axle mounting bracket has been replaced with two new mounting brackets.  The
new brackets require larger frame mounting hardware.  The brake lines from the T-fitting at the master
cylinder to the wheel cylinders have also been changed to accommodate the thicker brackets.

INTERCHANGEABILITY:

When replacing either of the original mounting brackets on units prior to the effective serial number,
use kit part number 379443, which includes thicker mounting brackets, hardware and brake tubes.

When replacing the mounting brackets on units on or after serial number C114V-1820G, use new part
numbers 368602 and 368603.

Refer to Service Manual 1400 SRM 285, for mounting torque specification for both the original and
new mounting brackets.

Note:  Do not use original brackets (with the smaller mounting holes) on units on or after effective

serial number.

PARTS STOCK:

Use up on units prior to the effective serial numbers.
