Liczebnik rodzaje
W języku angielskim, tak jak w polskim wyróżniamy liczebniki główne i porządkowe.
Liczebnik główny:
Warto zapamiętać pierwszą dziesiątkę liczebników, ponieważ w języku angielskim przydadzą się do tworzenia kolejnych liczebników:
1 - one
2 - two
3 - three
4 - four
5 - five
6 - six
7 - seven
8 - eight
9 - nine
10 - ten
Do zapamiętania:
11 eleven
12 twelve
Natomiast kolejne liczby tworzymy przez dodanie -teen na końcu liczebników podanych w pierwszej dziesiątce i dzięki temu tworzymy kolejne (zasada ta nie obowiązuje liczebników z gwiazdką *):

14 fourteen
15 fifteen*
16 sixteen
17 seventeen
18 eighteen

Jak widać w większości stosuje się podaną zasadę.
W liczebnikach powyżej 20 dodajemy natomiast końcówkę -ty:

Daty (dzielimy na dwie połówki - liczba setek, potem dziesiątki i jednostki):

Liczebniki porządkowe tworzy poprzez dodanie końcówki -th do liczebnika głównego. Jest jednak kilka wyjątków, które są tutaj zaznaczone *.
