We got on the plane at nine o’clock in the

morning, and the flight took eight hours. But

We stayed with my uncle. He lives in Queens, to

the north of Manhattan. We took the ferry every

The first book in the Famous Five series. It’s

called Five on a Treasure Island.

I don’t know that one. What’s it about?

It’s about four children and a dog. It’s the school

holidays. There are two boys and two girls and

they’re all staying together by the sea. There’s a

small island nearby in the sea near their house.

They discover a mystery and they want to know

what happened!

What’s the mystery?

The children find out that there was some

treasure on an old boat, but the treasure is lost

and they want to try and find it.
