Installation

Important!!!

You have to have administrative privileges to install AlfaSelect!

Start installation

The installation should start when the CD is inserted into the CD/DVD-driver. If for some reason, the installation does not start, browse to the CD and run the index.htm file.

When running index.htm the following installation page will open in the web browser.

1. Click on the following button on the installation page
   

2. Select “YES” when the popup asks you if you want to run the ActiveX control.

3. If you have a previous installation of AlfaSelect on your computer, you will be asked to uninstall it first before proceeding with the installation.
   

4. To uninstall the previous version of AlfaSelect, click “Uninstall AlfaSelect.

5. Choose OK when the program asks you if you want to uninstall.

6. If there isn't a previous installation on the computer then the text will look like this.

7. When AlfaSelect is uninstalled you can proceed with the installation, click on
   

8. Select OK when the program asks you if you want to install AlfaSelect

The installation is created as a Microsoft Installer msi-file. The first thing that happens is the startup of the installation engine.

For the following steps please follow the instructions in the dialogs.

Click Next to continue or Cancel to quit the installation.

Read the user license agreement carefully. You must accept the terms in the license agreement before proceeding. Press Next to proceed.

Click Install to proceed with the installation process.

You can follow the process in the Setup dialog.

Click finish when the installation is complete. If you wish to run AlfaSelect then select:

Start AlfaSelect

The shortcut to run AlfaSelect is found under Start->Programs->Alfa Laval->AlfaSelect

First time you run AlfaSelect

Softlock and Installkey

In some cases you need to run the file called installkey.exe to be able to run AlfaSelect.

This file is located on the CD. You should browse to the CD and double click the file installkey.exe. Somes the CD has an autorun feature. If this is the case, in order to browse the CD, open Windows explorer or my computer, click once on the drive for the CD, then right click and select `explore'. Then browse to the file installkey.exe on the CD and follow the installation instructions below.

Personal settings

The first time you run AlfaSelect it will ask you to fill in your name and email. This can be found under Settings -> Personal Settings in AlfaSelect.

Autodesk DWF Viewer 6.5

This software will be installed first time when creating a drawing. If the user has another version of this software already installed, this may lead to some issues when creating drawings.Minimum System Requirements
