DMC Hoooked Zpagetti San Remo handbag crochet pattern

background image

You only need a limited number of basic stitches for this pattern: slip, chain and double crochet stitches. For this bag, you need
about 600 - 700 grams (2/3 roll) of zpagetti. We used a 12 mm crochet needle. Please read all the instructions carefully before
starting to crochet the design.

The most important quality of Hoooked Zpagetti is the varying thickness and texture of the thread. That's why it is important to
keep looking at the dimensions and the shape of the crocheted bag for each pattern. The number of stitches per row is therefore
not a fixed number, but should be determined depending on the desired dimensions of the end result.

Step 2: the shape of the bag
When the base is complete, continue with the same stitch (double crochet). When using
double crochet stitches , you can choose to pick up the inner thread or to pick up both
threads of the stitch. If you pick up 1 thread, then a horizontal line will appear in the
crochet work; if you pick up both threads, it won't.

After the second row, decrease the number of stitches in each row by skipping a stitch
after each two stitches. This gives the bag a round And narrower Shape. Continue this way
until the opening of the bag is to your liking.

After that, crochet another two or three rows without decreasing. Continue this until you are happy with the height of your
bag. Then crochet a row of slip stitches.

Step 3: the handle
After you have completed the row of slip stitches, you crochet a chain of about 25 cm from
one side of the bag to the other. Attach the chain with a slip stitch to the other side of the
bag. Then crochet 1 row of double crochetand a row of slip stitch (back and forth) and finish
with a slip stitch. Neaten the inside of the bag by threading any loose ends through the

Tip: When the bag is finished, you can decorate it by weaving a different colour of Zpagetti
